At 7:07 PM, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident. Engine 45 arrived on scene to find one passenger vehicle off the roadway and a tractor-trailer blocking the roadway.

Crews evaluated and provided care to one patient with minor injuries until EMS arrived on scene. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) responded to investigate the accident. Once operations were completed, all fire units cleared the scene and returned to service.

At 11:48 PM, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to assist Holly Grove Fire Department through automatic aid for a possible structure fire.

Arriving crews found a single-story, single-family residence with light smoke showing from the crawlspace. Firefighters immediately began investigating to locate the source of the smoke.

During the investigation, crews located a burned heat pump underneath the residence. The issue was isolated to the heat pump, and no further fire extension was identified. Once the situation was addressed, all units returned to service.

On the morning of Sunday, September 13th, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to a residence for a report of an unconscious person.

Lt. Wright arrived on scene with Squad 43 and entered the residence, locating a male who was conscious at the time. Lt. Wright began speaking with the gentleman, who introduced himself as Mr. Lloyd, while attempting to obtain vital signs.

During the assessment, Mr. Lloyd suddenly became unresponsive and was found to have no pulse. Lt. Wright immediately moved Mr. Lloyd to the floor, began chest compressions, and requested additional resources.

FF Martin and Captain Barnhart with Holly Grove Fire, along with Captain Broos and FF Lyndon with Fair Grove Fire, arrived and began assisting Squad 43 and EMS personnel on scene. Crews worked together to provide lifesaving care, and after several minutes, a pulse was regained. Mr. Lloyd was then transported by EMS for further treatment.

Today, we had the opportunity to meet Mr. Lloyd again—this time under much better circumstances.

In the fire service, we respond to many difficult situations, but moments like this are ones we will always cherish. Seeing someone again after being part of their care during such a critical moment is something that is hard to put into words.

This positive outcome is a testament to teamwork, training, and individuals working together when every second mattered.

It was great seeing you today, Mr. Lloyd. Everyone at Fair Grove Fire wishes you the very best as you continue your recovery

Over the last week, Fair Grove Fire & Rescue crews have responded to multiple major incidents throughout our district.

Crews responded to two serious motor vehicle accidents involving significant injuries, requiring our personnel to work alongside EMS and other responding agencies to provide patient care and safely manage each scene.

Yesterday evening, crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a single-story residence with heavy fire showing from the Charlie/Delta sides of the structure. Crews immediately initiated an aggressive fire attack while additional personnel conducted searches of the residence.

All searches were completed and confirmed negative, and the fire was eventually brought under control. 45B remained on scene and held the incident while crews completed operations.

It has been a busy week for our personnel, and we appreciate the continued dedication of our firefighters as well as the assistance and cooperation of our neighboring agencies.

At 2:11 this afternoon, Fair Grove Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a possible pin-in.

45D arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle MVA with no entrapment or pin-in. Engine 43 arrived shortly after and assisted with patient care in one vehicle, while Engine 45 and Squad 45 arrived and assumed patient care in the other vehicle.

Crews removed a door from one vehicle to provide easier access and safely remove the patient onto a backboard. EMS arrived on scene, and one patient was transported with minor injuries.

Cunningham Road was temporarily shut down to allow crews to safely operate and work the incident. NC Highway Patrol arrived on scene to handle the investigation.

Once the scene was cleared, all Fair Grove Fire units returned to service
