NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Three Forks City Council will hold public hearings on November 10, 2026, at 6:00PM to consider a resolution proposing to close City departments on Thursday, December 24, 2026, and allow employees to take vacation, personal time, or unpaid time off.

The Council will also hear first readings of the rewritten ordinances in Title 11 Zoning Code, Chapters:
• 10 Amendments and Annexations
• 13 Downtown Business District (DBD)
• 14 Neighborhood Business District (NBD)
• 15 General Industrial (GI)

These hearings will be held at City Hall located at 206 S. Main Street, Three Forks, Montana. The drafted resolutions and ordinances, and any accompanying exhibits, may all be found on our website at https://www.threeforksmontana.us/packet-for-upcoming-council-meeting.

Written and verbal comments will be accepted at the hearing or may be submitted via email to [email protected] or [email protected] prior to the hearing (deadline of 5PM on 11/10/2026). Please contact the City Office at (406) 285-3431 for any questions.

The library has felt a little quieter and a lot emptier since Jaime’s last day last week.

When our library needed steady hands and a big heart the most, Jaime stepped up without hesitation to keep our doors open and our community connected. Not only did she hold down the fort, but she also selflessly stayed on longer than planned to train our staff, guide our new director, and set everyone up for long-term success.

Quite simply, we wouldn’t be thriving today without her dedication, generosity, and calm leadership.

Thank you, Jaime, for everything you’ve poured into this space, our team, and our patrons. You left indelible shoes to fill, and you will be deeply missed. Please join us in wishing Jaime the absolute best in her next chapter! 💙📚✨

This is an issue in Three Forks also. We had a public complaint about this exact thing during the morning rush to get kids to school, this week.

There still seems to be some confusion, so here's a simple diagram to help understand the rules of a 4-way stop. The key action here is to STOP before moving on to the next steps.

Here are some definitions for STOP:
As a Verb:
• Cease an action or movement: To finish, quit, or come to a halt (e.g., the car stopped, she stopped running)
As a Noun:
• Cessation or end: A complete halt or pause in an activity or movement (e.g., came to a complete stop)

An anonymous donation was made to be applied to water/sewer accounts.
