🎉 Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month! 🎉

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and what better way to celebrate than by recognizing individuals served by Seneca County Opportunity Center who are making a difference through their employment!

🌟 Meet Nick! 🌟

Nick has proudly worked at Seneca County Commission On Aging for nearly four years! Each week, Nick prepares bags of food items and packs them into large containers to be delivered alongside meals to seniors throughout Seneca County. His work, along with everyone at Seneca County Commission on Aging, helps support an important community service!

Nick’s coworkers have shared with SCOC that he is a great worker, and Nick has plenty of positive things to say about his experience, too!

“It makes me feel like a really happy person when I come in here on Wednesdays. I like coming here and have lots of great friendships around here.”

Nick’s story is a wonderful reminder that employment is about more than just a job. It’s about building relationships, contributing to the community, finding purpose, and taking pride in what you do.

The Ritz Theatre is hosting Bingo this evening. Doors open at 4:30 and early birds begin at 6:30. Come cool off and have some community fun 😍
