🎃 HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM THE TIFFIN FIRE DEPARTMENT! 👻
As you head out for a night of trick-or-treating and Halloween fun, we encourage everyone to take a few extra precautions to keep the evening safe for all.
Halloween Safety Tips:
🎃 Be Visible: Carry a flashlight or glow sticks and use reflective tape on costumes and bags.
👻 Costume Safety: Make sure costumes fit properly to prevent trips and falls. Avoid masks or accessories that restrict vision.
🚸 Stay Alert: Children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult. Use sidewalks and cross at designated crosswalks.
🚗 Drive Carefully: Slow down, eliminate distractions, and watch carefully for children walking between homes and crossing streets.
🍬 Check Treats: Parents should inspect all candy and treats before children enjoy them.
🔥 Fire Safety: Keep costumes away from open flames, candles, and decorations that could create a fire hazard. Use battery-operated lights in pumpkins whenever possible.
From all of us at the Tiffin Fire Department, we hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!
Stay safe, look out for one another, and have a great night!
