Chelsea Hicks Foundation - Chelsea's Closet A therapeutic dress-up and play program bringing hope & healing to seriously ill kids in children’s hospitals ♥️🐒 Or even mini parades.

The Chelsea Hicks Foundation was created in 2009 to inspire hope and healing to seriously ill children and their families. Jason and Alison Hicks watched their youngest daughter Chelsea go through 22 months of cancer treatment. In doing so, they witnessed the joy and how her spirit and attitude were lifted when she knew her cousins were coming to the hospital to play dress up with her. Chelsea was able to get other children at the hospital to play dress up with her also. Doctors and nurses would help with dress up/ tea parties in the hallway alcoves. Giving them special treats to eat and complimenting them on their creative costumes. When Chelsea passed away from childhood cancer in February 2009 her family did not want that experience and those memories to be just for them. They thought other families needed those memories for their children as well. Those children battling a serious illness need something special to do. We created the Chelsea Hicks Foundation to brighten the lives of seriously ill children with programs designed to add fun and create lasting memories for the whole family. Please join our cause and help us to inspire hope and healing through dress up and play. See how you can donate or help on our donations page on our website.

✈️ Where will your story take you?

A heartfelt thank-you to Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines for donating the airline tickets that helped our Golden Boarding Pass raffle raise over $6,200 at our Costume Ball & Gala!

Guests purchased Golden Boarding Passes for a chance to win those tickets—and every entry helped bring imagination, laughter, and joy to children facing serious illnesses. 💛

We’re so grateful for your generosity and the meaningful difference it makes for the children and families we serve. Thank you for being part of our story!

A little bibbidi-bobbidi-boo… and a “big sister” moment! 💙✨

We had the joy of providing Rosie with her Cinderella dress for her Make-A-Wish trip to Disney, where she met her “big sister,” Cinderella! Matching gowns and that look of pure joy—our hearts can hardly take it. 🥹

More than a costume. A little magic, a big imagination, and a memory to treasure. 💙
