In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the McMullen County Sheriff’s Office rallied to assist in the search for a 4-year-old autistic girl who had wandered away from her parents. Following a frantic 1-1.5 hour search, deputies sprang into action, assembling a team that included a drone, K-9 unit, TX Parks and Wildlife Game Warden, and Allegiance EMS crew to scour the 500 acre ranch off FM99. Thanks to their tireless efforts and expanding search grid, McMullen Deputy Jeremy Miner located the girl near a deer blind. After a medical checkup, EMS confirmed the girl was in good health, marking a joyful reunion for the family. This uplifting outcome is a testament to the power of collaboration and community.
