Tilton is one of the fastest growing communities in New Hampshire and considered one of the best places to shop, dine and stay when in the Lakes Region. We are the gateway to the Lakes Region and White Mountains for the many tourists who visit New Hampshire each year. In addition, Tilton is also the main access route to the cities of Laconia and Franklin from Interstate 93. This translates to more traffic and visitors than any other community in Central New Hampshire, which ultimately generates more calls for police service. Managing the high demand for service and investigations takes the well-trained professional team of men and women of the Tilton Police Department.

The Tilton Town Hall will be CLOSED Monday, August 10th and Friday, August 14th due to Town Hall Roof Construction and School Street closure.

Town Hall will be OPEN Tuesday the 11th, Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th.

School Street by Town Hall will be CLOSED August 10th and 14th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. The Town Hall roof is being replaced the week of August 10th, and a crane will be required on the 10th and the 14th for the work to be done. As such, School Street near Town Hall will be closed on Monday, August 10th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and then again on August 14th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. If you have any questions, please call Town Hall at 603-286-4521 ext 100.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Night; it was a huge success! We would like to express our gratitude to the Northfield Police Department, Sanbornton Police Department, Tilton-Northfield Fire District, Sanbornton Fire & Rescue, Belknap County Sheriff's Office, New Hampshire State Police, NH State Liquor Enforcement, the Belknap Regional Special Operations Group, and Rusty's Towing.

Additionally, we want to thank Walmart Supercenter Tilton for their generous donations and for volunteering employees to assist with the event, as well as everyone else who helped make this event possible. Without your support, we would not have been able to host such a successful event. Also, a big thank you to Brian Dumka Productions, LLC. for providing the music and to Fred at Mix 94.1 FM.

Join us tonight for Community Night from 5 PM to 8 PM in the field next to the Police Department. Enjoy food, games, an obstacle course, and see a State Police helicopter. There will also be a touch-a-truck event featuring fire, police, and tow trucks. Don't miss your chance to win prizes in our raffles! Attention Downtown Residents: Pike Industries will begin milling the pavement next week, starting on West Main Street and heading into town. The work will take place overnight from 8 PM to 6:30 AM, starting Sunday night and continuing through Friday morning. This work will continue for several weeks. When they reach Main St., parking will not be allowed during the specified times. Any vehicles in violation of this may be towed at the owner's expense. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
