SPARK: The Courage to Stand Up!

We are getting ready to make a difference through our school-wide SPARK initiative! Together, we are creating a caring, welcoming community where every student feels safe, valued, supported, and like they truly belong. SPARK encourages us to choose kindness, welcome others, refuse to join in when someone is being unkind, stand up for others when it is safe, and reach out to a trusted adult when help is needed.

Every day, we have the power to help someone feel seen, supported, and included. We do not have to be the person being hurt to make a difference—our courage and kindness can inspire others to do the same! Throughout the year, we will recognize and celebrate students who put SPARK into action. Together, we are lifting one another up and building a school community where everyone feels connected, cared for, and welcome. ❤️

This week our first graders learned about elections! They read the story, “Duck for President” and then placed their vote into the ballot box 🗳️! After tallying their votes, the results show…. Duck 🦆 for the win over Farmer Brown🧑‍🌾. Way to go first grade 👏💙💛

Thursday, October 29: Sports Day 🏈

Grades K–2: Bring your costumes to school for our Costume Parade! 🎃 Parade starts at 2:00 PM in the front bus loop. More details coming early next week (including after parade parent pick-up permission forms through classroom parent square).
Grades 3–6: Underground Day! Your grade level will share more information about your theme for the day.
We can't wait to see everyone participate and show their Warrior spirit!

🚶 Warriors on the Move: Fundraiser Update! 💙
We are just one week away from our Warriors on the Move celebration! Thank you to everyone who has already helped support this year's fundraiser.
Warriors on the Move is similar to our previous Warrior Walk and Read-a-Thon fundraisers, with one exciting addition this year: families can now accept donations online!
Every dollar raised by students will go directly toward their grade-level field trip expenses for this school year. For example, if a fifth-grade student raises $125, that student will receive $125 toward their field trips.
Field trips are an important part of the school experience, providing students with valuable learning opportunities and lasting memories. Your support helps make these experiences possible!
Our weekend challenge: Encourage your student to reach out to five new people and ask for a donation toward their field trip expenses. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference!
Donations can be made online, or cash and checks may be sent to school.

Last night, our Kindergarten and First grade teachers were recognized at the BOE meeting for their hard work, dedication, and the outstanding student data they have achieved. Our students are demonstrating remarkable growth and performance when compared to the other twenty-six PA schools participating in the Success for Early PA Learners (SPEL) Grant. Our data reflects implementation with 94% fidelity and high-quality ECRI instruction resulting in student performance scoring above the other PA schools local data averages!

These results do not happen by chance. They are the result of thoughtful planning, high expectations, collaboration, a deep understanding of student needs, and an unwavering commitment to helping every child succeed. The foundation established in Kindergarten and first grade is essential to future academic success, and these teachers are making a tremendous difference in the lives of our students.

As educators, we know that the early years of learning are critical. Our Kindergarten and first grade teachers are setting our Little Warriors up for success, and their dedication to ensuring that ALL students can learn and reach their full potential is evident in the progress our students are making.

Thank you for the countless hours you invest in your students, your work is meaningful, your impact is lasting, and your accomplishments deserve to be celebrated!

Today, our Little Warriors participated in an important and engaging bullying prevention assembly! Students learned valuable lessons about kindness, respect, inclusion, and standing up for others.

Thank you to Mrs. Amy Moritz and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General for teaching us today.

Together, we can make RBW a place where everyone feels safe, respected, included, and valued! 💙

🌟 Our Big Warrior Little Warrior Program is off and running! 🌟

Today was the kickoff, and our Little Warriors had the opportunity to meet their Big Warriors for Chalk & Talk!

It was a wonderful way to begin building friendships, connections, and positive relationships across our school community. We can’t wait to see these special partnerships grow throughout the year! 💙

Big Warriors + Little Warriors = BIG IMPACT! 🫶✨
