For those who ask how to send care packages to those military members from Iowa who are currently serving, this is a great opportunity!

As we prepare care packages for our deployed Iowa sons and daughters, our top priorities right now are OATMEAL and RAMEN NOODLES.

When you're deployed, meals start to feel the same day after day. A familiar flavor from home reminds them that people back here are thinking of them.

We've added oatmeal and ramen to our Amazon Wish List. Purchase from the list and it's delivered right to us. Or you can drop it off at the Iowa Gold Star Museum at Camp Dodge if you prefer to shop local and drop it off!

Are you looking for a way to serve Veterans? Become a volunteer driver to help Veterans get from the Quad Cities to their VA health care appointments.

This transportation service is offered at no cost to Veterans thanks to the support of community volunteers. Volunteer drivers play an important role in helping Veterans get to the care they need, and the time commitment is flexible. Some volunteers drive several times a week, while others may volunteer only once a month. Volunteers can contribute as much or as little time as their schedules allow.

🏹 IOWA VETERANS — OUR FIRST BOW HUNT OF THE SEASON IS COMING UP! 🇺🇸

We’ll draw THIS FRIDAY (October 2nd) for 4 Iowa veterans to join us for HERO’s first bow hunt of the year, October 23–25!

What’s included:
🏡 Lodging at the HERO Lodge
🦌 Access to hunting grounds
