We want to keep our customers informed! Since COVID hit us in 2020 we were able to do away with our payment processing fees on credit/debit cards to help ease the burden on our customers. As we prepare to launch our new mobile app and online customer payment portal tomorrow October 23 2026, please be aware that the payment processing fees will be applied as follows:

💳 Credit or Debit Card: 2.5%

🏦 E-check (Electronic Check): $1.95

These fees apply to payments made through the LCUD mobile app, online customer payment portal, and at our office.
iPhone customers: it will be a couple of days before the App Store will have the LCUD App available.

Thank you for your understanding and for being a valued LCUD customer!

Natural Gas Emergency: Know What to Do

Your safety is our highest priority. If you ever suspect a natural gas leak, remember these important steps:

If You Smell Natural Gas:
• Leave the area immediately.
• Do NOT light matches, smoke, or create any flame.
• Do NOT operate light switches, garage door openers, appliances, or use telephones inside the building.
• Move to a safe location away from the suspected leak.

Once you are in a safe location:
• Call Lake County Utility District at 731-253-6203 (24-hour emergency line).
• If there is an immediate danger to life or property, call 911.

Know the Signs of a Natural Gas Leak:
✔️ A distinct sulfur or “rotten egg” odor.
✔️ A hissing or blowing sound near a gas line.
✔️ Dead or discolored vegetation over or near a buried pipeline.
✔️ Dirt, dust, or water blowing into the air near a pipeline.

🚫 Do Not Attempt to Locate or Repair the Leak Yourself.
Only trained utility personnel should investigate and repair natural gas leaks.
