Danny Rice is on stage now, finishing up another great Economic Outlook Luncheon! If you couldn’t make it - we missed you! if you came out to be a part of our event, we cannot thank you enough.

We heard specific projects and TEDC performance updates from Kelly Violette, Executive Director. We honored our Assistant Director and wished her well in her new journey. We are finishing up a regional economic update. Fun stuff next! Q&A, door prizes, and a safe trip back to our day.

Help shape the future of Old Town Tomball!

The Tomball Economic Development Corporation has two openings on the Tomball Legacy Square Advisory Committee, and we’re looking for passionate community members, business owners, or local leaders to join. Members will provide input and recommendations for the continued development and design of Tomball Legacy Square, a visionary project located at the former First Baptist Church campus that will strengthen our community’s economic vitality and quality of life.

Our Tomball Economic Development Corporation team has bittersweet news to share.

Our very own Tiffani Wooten, CEcD, will be leaving Tomball EDC to join the City of Conroe as the Executive Director of Economic Development, and we are so grateful for the difference she’s made here. Our entire team is sad to see her go, but we could not be happier for her to have this opportunity. We know she will do amazing things for Conroe.

As our Assistant Director, Tiffani has supported economic development projects that have generated more than $490 million in private capital investment and created or retained more than 4,000 jobs, benefiting citizens and businesses of all sizes.

In addition to business attraction, retention and expansion, she has worked to connect young people with career opportunities right here at home. Her work with our Summer Youth Employment Program is one example. This past summer, 37 Tomball businesses hired 63 interns, helping students gain paid experience and build relationships with local employers.

Thank you, Tiffani, for your leadership and commitment to Tomball. The relationships you’ve built and the opportunities you’ve helped create will continue to benefit our community. We’ll miss you and wish you every success in Conroe!

A summer job can become much more than a summer job.

Feedback from Tomball EDC’s 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program showed students gained greater confidence, clearer career direction and meaningful experiences inside real workplaces.

For some participants, that experience has also opened the door to continued opportunities with local employers.

For Tomball businesses, SYEP is more than a summer program. It’s an investment in the talent pipeline our community will depend on next.

Mark your calendar for the October 13, 2026 Regular Tomball Economic Development Corporation Meeting, RSVP for the luncheon today!

The Board will hold a public hearing and consider a $161,200 performance agreement with IC Star Solar (USA), LLC supporting an expansion expected to create 124 new jobs while retaining 376 existing positions. The Board will also discuss five-year funding for City projects, consider an RFP for selective demolition, preservation and site restoration at Tomball Legacy Square, address committee appointments and vacancies, discuss the Summer Youth Employment Program’s sustainability, and consider approval of the FY 2026–2027 Strategic Work Plan Annual Action Plan.

Regular Board meetings are held monthly at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, unless otherwise posted. Meeting agendas are posted at the entrance of City Hall and on this website at least three consecutive business days prior to the start of the meeting. All meetings are open to the public.
