Paramedic InCharge, Lexi Borcherding was the lead researcher on a project that was selected to be showcased with the poster presentations at the International Scientific Symposium at EMS World EXPO being held this week in Orlando Florida!

Research Title: "Pearls, Pitfalls, and Lessons Learned: A Qualitative Study on Implementing Mechanical Ventilation in 911 EMS Response"

The research will also be released on the Prehospital Care Research forum on the UCLA website and published in the January 2027 issue of Prehospital Emergency Care – NAEMSP!

We are blessed to already have mechanical ventilators in our service; however, this research will facilitate other services that do not, especially smaller and rural services that have extended transport times while caring for a critically ill patient.

We are proud of Lexi and her accomplishment and her contribution to EMS research that facilitates the progression of prehospital medicine across the US!
