Eddie Paul Murphy was Sworn in by Sheriff Lucas Geralds today to serve as a School Resource Officer.Eddie Paul has several yrs of Law Enforcement experience and will be an asset to our schools.

The Monroe County Sheriffs dept received New Fire Extinguishers for all our Road Deputies today. These are a Very important tool in our line of work.

Dillon Vickery was sworn in today by Sheriff Lucas Geralds. Dillon will serve as sergeant of the Monroe County Sheriffs dept. We are very excited to have Dillon on our team and serve Monroe county.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department will be closed Saturday October 10th and Monday October 12th. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday October 13th at 8:00 AM

We have had some calls about a red Chevrolet ext cab truck stopping at houses saying they work for a bank and trying to get information. The complaints we received was that it was a male and female.The banks don’t have anyone out doing anything in the field and if they do they would have proper ID. If anyone encounters this please call the Monroe county Sheriffs dept. and always remember if you can take pictures of vehicles or license plates it helps tremendously. Thank You!

The Monroe County Sheriffs Office will be closed tomorrow Saturday October 3rd. We will resume normal business hours on Monday October 5th at 8:00 AM.

It is with much sadness that we mourn the loss of our fellow brother in blue, Trooper Hayden Phillips, who was tragically killed in the line of duty earlier today. Trooper Phillips selflessly committed his career with such honor to protecting and serving his community and the state of Kentucky. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
At this time we would like to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Trooper Phillips wife, children, family, work family, friends and anyone who’s life he may have touched during his career.

Rest in peace Trooper Hayden Phillips Unit 369. We have it from here Brother.
