EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
CAREER FIRE CHIEF

Toms River Fire District No. 1, Ocean County, New Jersey, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Career Fire Chief.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of the district's fire suppression, emergency response, training, personnel, and operational activities. Candidates must have a strong understanding of and experience working with volunteer fire departments and the unique relationship between volunteer fire companies and District operations.

Salary Range: $135,000-$160,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The Toms River Township Fire District #1 & 2 Joint Board of Fire Commissioners, extends our deepest condolences to Chief Keating, his family, and the members of Silverton Fire Company Station 29 following yesterday’s tragic incident at Meg’s Grill.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chief Keating’s loved ones, his fellow firefighters, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking event. In times like these, we are reminded of the strength of our community and the bond shared by those who serve and protect it.
