Yesterday morning, our volunteer members joined the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention at Smart Start Academy for a fire prevention demonstration!

Students had the opportunity to learn about fire safety, see some of the equipment firefighters use, and get an up-close look at our gear.

Thank you to Smart Start Academy for having us and to the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention for allowing us to be part of this great learning experience!

Last night, our volunteer members traveled to the Brick Township Fire Training Academy for hands-on training using the car fire prop.

Members had the opportunity to practice vehicle fire suppression techniques, hose line operations, and teamwork in a controlled environment. Training like this allows our members to sharpen their skills and stay prepared for emergencies.

Last night, shortly after our company meeting, our volunteer members were dispatched to a reported structure fire in Toms River.

Chief 3000, Assistant Chief 3010, Engines 3041 & 3051, Ladders 3055 & 3065, Rescue 3033, and Fire Police 3017 responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and quickly began working to locate and extinguish the fire. Firefighters stretched multiple hose lines to combat the fire while additional crews worked to prevent further extension. Overhaul and ventilation operations were also completed to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

We would like to thank the following agencies for their assistance on scene:

Silverton Volunteer Fire Company
East Dover Fire Company
Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention
