🚒❤️ Public Safety Unit at Bethlehem Christian Academy! ❤️🚒

Today, Bobo Volunteer Fire & Rescue had the pleasure of bringing one of our fire trucks to Bethlehem Christian Academy to help wrap up their Public Safety Unit with their Pre-K through 1st-grade students! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

We love getting out into our community and giving our youngest learners the opportunity to see a fire truck up close, learn about fire safety, and become more familiar with the people who help keep them safe.

A big thank-you to Bethlehem Christian Academy for inviting us to be part of this fun learning experience! We always enjoy spending time with these sweet kiddos and helping build a safer, more informed community. 🚒❤️

A reminder from Bobo Volunteer Fire & Rescue. ❤️‍🩹

When a structure fire happens in our community, we know people are going to be curious. We understand that. But we ask everyone to please remember that there is a family behind every call.

Yesterday, a family lost their home in a structure fire, and their children unfortunately saw pictures and learned what had happened before their family had the opportunity to tell them themselves.

We are asking our community to please be mindful of what is being photographed, posted, shared, and discussed while a family is experiencing something so devastating.

We also want to remind everyone please do not enter or attempt to enter a burned structure. Even when the fire appears to be out, a structure can remain extremely dangerous. There may be unstable floors, ceilings, hot spots, smoke, electrical hazards, or other dangers that are not visible from the outside. Please allow firefighters and other authorized personnel to do their jobs and keep a safe distance from the scene.

If you drive by an incident, please slow down, stay out of the way, and resist the urge to stop for pictures. Your curiosity should never put you, our firefighters, or the family at greater risk.

Most importantly, please remember that this isn’t just a building.

It’s someone’s home. Someone’s belongings. Someone’s memories. Someone’s childhood. Someone’s safe place.

There will always be time for pictures and information later. A family deserves the opportunity to process their loss and tell their children what happened in their own time and in their own way.

Thank you for helping us protect not only our community, but also the dignity and privacy of the families we serve. ❤️

🚒🔥 TRAINING TUESDAY 🔥🚒

Another night of putting in the work! Our members spent time training, sharpening skills, working together, and preparing for whatever call may come our way.

Training isn’t always glamorous, but when the tones drop, preparation matters. Every drill, every scenario, and every hour spent learning helps us become a stronger team and better serve our community.

Train hard. Stay ready. Serve with purpose. 🧑‍🚒❤️

A big thank-you to our members who continue to show up, put in the work, and answer the call!

🚒❤️ Our littlest firefighters in training! ❤️🚒

These three little ones got a front-row seat to some fire department training today! From watching the trucks and gear to getting a little taste of what happens behind the scenes, they’re already learning that being part of a fire department is about more than just fighting fires—it’s about family, community, and serving others.

Who knows…we may have a few future firefighters growing up right here at BOBO VFD! 🧑‍🚒🔥

Train them young. Teach them service. Raise them to care for their community. ❤️
