Last Friday, Governor Laura Kelly proclaimed July 30, 2026, as Kansas Intern Day. We had the honor of attending the proclamation signing alongside a few outstanding interns from the Kansas Office of Information Technology Services, Kansas Department of Commerce, Kansas Department of Labor and Kansas Department of Agriculture!

Interns are the future leaders of our great state, and we are so glad they chose to spend their summers with the State of Kansas! 🌻

Yesterday, we welcomed over 50 interns for the summer at the State of Kansas Summer Intern Kickoff!

We'd like to give thanks to our guest speakers, intern Claire Brown, intern-turned-employee Jackson Norris, and Laura Howard, Secretary of Kansas Department for Children and Families and Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services!

Thanks to everyone who attended to support this year's interns. We look forward to a productive and fun summer! ☀️💙🌻
