Kicking off Labor Votes 2026! 🗳️✊

This weekend the Kansas AFL-CIO launched two member-to-member canvasses, in Topeka and Wichita. Union members are knocking on doors and talking with fellow members about what's at stake this November.

Special thanks to United Teachers of Wichita, the USW in Topeka, Kansas AFT, and our central labor councils for showing up and making it happen!

Want to join us? Visit ImVotingUnion.com to sign up for a canvass shift near you.

Stand with USW and sign the petition!

I encourage all of our brothers and sisters to sign this petition and reach out to your elected representatives. Also, please share with your family and friends. This is an urgent matter and could jeopardize the future of our plant and all other American Goodyear plants.

Labor built Kansas — and now we've got the gear to prove it.

River Rat Print & Skate in Lawrence just organized with IBEW 226 , and the brand-new union shop has partnered with us on a special line of "Labor Built Kansas" tees, hoodies, and hats. The real deal: USA-made, union-printed, stamped with the union bug. No compromises, top to bottom.

Best part? 100% of the profits go straight to the Kansas AFL-CIO COPE fund to elect candidates who stand with working Kansans. Every hat you buy helps break the supermajority and hold the Governor's seat — AND supports a local union print shop. You wear the gear, you fund the fight.

⏰ This is an extremely limited run — the shop closes July 22.

👉 Shop here: https://riverratks.printavo.com/merch/ksaflcio26

Coming to the COPE Convention? Pick up your order there, or have it shipped straight to your door. Help us sell a ridiculous amount of gear — share this with your local!

It’s simple, when ballots are mailed before the voting deadline, they should count. That's why I rallied last week with the KU Pharmacy Technicians as they fight for every timely cast ballot in their union election to be counted. Workers deserve to have their voices heard.

Stand with Machinists. Sign the petition to demand the Kansas Public Employee Relations Board count ALL ballots for union representation for pharmacy techs at KU health system!

The integrity of a representation election depends upon every eligible employee having their vote fairly considered. Any ballots cast by eligible voters during the authorized election period should not be excluded due to administrative error, mishandling, delay, or other circumstances beyond the con...

Don't Let Billionaires Buy Our Courts — Vote NO in August

The Kansas AFL-CIO Executive Board has taken a position on the August ballot amendment. We're asking every union member in the state to vote NO.
Kansas picks Supreme Court justices on merit. Once they're on the bench, they face you in retention elections. That's how we hold them accountable. This court has ruled against Sam Brownback and against Laura Kelly, because it answers to the Kansas Constitution and nothing else.

The amendment on your August ballot would replace that with partisan elections. Justices raising money. Taking endorsements. Running ads. Same playbook Elon Musk just ran in Wisconsin, where he dropped more than $20 million trying to buy a single Supreme Court seat.

State Supreme Courts decide the cases that shape our working lives. Workers' comp. Wage theft. Workplace safety. The right to organize. Prevailing wage. Public sector bargaining. When judges are bought, those cases get decided before the gavel ever falls.

Big donors don't want a fair court. They want a court they can rent.

Vote NO in August. Then talk to the folks in your local, your shop, your union hall. Make sure they know what's on the ballot. We can win this one, but only if we turn out.

The Kansas AFL-CIO is proud to endorse Congresswoman Sharice Davids for re-election in the 3rd Congressional District.

President Brian Alexander put it simply: we're standing with Sharice because she stands with labor — and she's got the voting record to prove it. She voted to restore union rights for millions of federal workers. She voted to protect Medicaid. She shows up for working families, vote after vote.

Sharice has spent her time in Congress fighting for good-paying jobs, stronger unions, and lower costs for Kansas families. With the attacks on workers coming hard and fast, we need her voice in D.C. now more than ever.
Kansas labor is all in. Let's send her back.

The U.S. Department of Labor on Thursday formally repealed a rule adopted under Democratic former President Joe Biden that would have extended mandatory overtime pay to 4 million salaried workers but was struck down by two judges.
