📢 Event Update: Franklin After Five

Please note that tonight’s Franklin After Five event (Thursday, September 10) is officially canceled. Our municipal crews and equipment are currently being redirected to prepare for the city's September 11th memorial ceremonies tomorrow.

Additionally, we are hitting pause on all future Franklin After Five dates until further notice.

We love the potential of this initiative, and our team is taking this time to restructure the event behind the scenes. Our goal is to bring it back as a much more dynamic, engaging experience that truly activates Franklin Plaza and brings even more of our community together.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our local vendors and musicians this season. Stay tuned for future downtown event updates! 🏙️✨

Mother Nature clearly has a personal vendetta against our Thursday night plans! 🌧️🤦‍♂️

Since an all-day storm is projected to hit Torrington this Thursday, September 3rd, we are officially postponing Franklin After Five... again. That makes it two times in a row that the rain has completely washed out our evening! At this rate, we might need to pivot from live music and food trucks to building a community ark. 🚢🌧️

While we are bummed to miss out on the fun, we want to keep our amazing vendors, musicians, and attendees dry. You can check out the official update on FAF (6).png. Please do a sun dance for us this weekend so we can finally get back to the plaza!

Stay dry, and we will see you (hopefully) next Thursday, September 10th! ☀️🤞
