As temperatures drop and furnaces start running, make sure you have working carbon monoxide (CO) detectors in your home! CO is an odorless, colorless gas that can be deadly, and you may never know it’s there without a detector.

✅ Test your CO detectors
✅ Replace batteries as needed
✅ Check expiration dates
✅ Make sure detectors are installed on every level of your home and near sleeping areas

A few minutes of prevention can save lives. Stay safe this winter! ❤️‍🔥

We thought we should share a quick update on the 9/11 blood drive with you all! First and foremost thank you to everyone who stopped in and gave to help those in need!

A few quick stats that will put things into perspective!
Projected Donations: 25
Units Collected: 33
Scheduled Donations: 24
Registered Donations: 32
First Time Donations: 6

These 33 units collected will go on to bless the lives of potentially 99 more people in the future! They could have already saved a life! How amazing!

Less important but still important……. Team Hoses battled tough and came up with 16 donors…. Team Guns… 12 awesome donors!

September 11, 2001 — We Remember.

Today, we remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while answering a call for help.

They ran toward danger when others were running away. They climbed the stairs not knowing what awaited them, simply because someone needed help.

Their courage, sacrifice, and brotherhood continue to remind us why we answer the call.

We honor their memory by carrying on the commitment to serve, protect, and never leave a brother or sister behind.

343 remembered. Never forgotten. 🇺🇸🚒

That’s a wrap on our weekend with Chief Wells. It’s safe to say we’re tired sweaty and a little bloody, but couldn’t be more pleased with the time spent on tool techniques and auto extrication tactics with some of THE BEST in the business.

This weekend the guys went over different tactics such as: The Bat Wing, The B Post Blow Out, The Clamshell, The Dash Lift, The Butterfly Cut, The Reformed Dash Lift, Upside Down Bat Wing and Dash Life, The Air Chair. These tactics are proven to work efficiently and effectively all over the country, no matter the age of the vehicle.

As they say, iron sharpens iron. In a never ending pursuit to bring the community the highest levels of auto extrication we are always glad to see Chief Wells and his Cadre in town. This weekend a handful of TVFD members are going through the 12 Rules of Chop Shop. If you’ve seen the demo derby down at Pioneer Park, this would be why!
