🚒🔥 Fire Safety, Fun & a Little Throwback!🔥🚒

This week, members of Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine had the pleasure of visiting Chase Elementary School to talk with students about fire safety!

One of our favorite parts of serving this community is getting the opportunity to connect with its youngest members. ❤️

Teaching children about fire safety at an early age helps build habits that can last a lifetime. From knowing what to do in an emergency to understanding the importance of smoke alarms and having a family escape plan, these are lessons that can make a real difference!

While we didn't get a photo from this week's visit, we thought we'd share a little throwback from one of our previous visits to Chase Elementary! 📸

A big thank you to Chase Elementary for welcoming us back and giving us the opportunity to share these important lessons with your students!

And who knows? We may have met a few future BQVFD volunteers along the way! 👩‍🚒🚒

🔥 FIRE PREVENTION MONTH — SMOKE ALARM SAFETY 🔥

🚨 Smoke alarms save lives! A working smoke alarm can give you and your family the precious time needed to get out safely during a fire.

🏠 Butler Volunteer Fire Company reminds everyone to:

* ✅ Test your smoke alarms every month.
* 🔋 Replace batteries when needed—never ignore that chirping sound!
* 🚨 Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms, and outside sleeping areas.
* 📅 Replace smoke alarms that are 10 years old or older.
* 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Make sure everyone in your home recognizes the alarm sound and knows your escape plan.

Don’t wait for a fire to find out your smoke alarm doesn’t work. Test it today!
