🇺🇸 Daring Dicey’s story comes to life through music! 🎶

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra brought the remarkable story of Travelers Rest’s own Revolutionary War heroine, Laodicea “Dicey” Langston, to life through an original orchestral composition!

Through music, storytelling, and collaboration with local students and the Travelers Rest community, GSO created a beautiful tribute to Dicey’s courage and her place in Upstate South Carolina history.

We’re sharing Finding Dicey, Finding Ourselves, a documentary that takes you behind the scenes of this special project, from its development and community partnerships to the world premiere in April 2026.

❤️ A special thank you to the Greenville Symphony Orchestra for highlighting our Daring Dicey, celebrating our local history, and sharing her incredible story with the community in such a meaningful and beautiful way!
