Jones County Veterans Services

10/13/2026

The United States Navy celebrates its 251st birthday on October 13, 2026, marking its establishment in 1775 when the Continental Congress created the Naval Forces to defend our emerging nation. Each year, this day honors the Navy’s proud heritage, its tradition of service, and the Sailors—past and present—who demonstrate courage, commitment, and excellence at sea and ashore. The Navy Birthday is a reminder of more than two centuries of safeguarding our nation’s security and upholding the values that define our maritime force. Happy birthday to all Navy servicemembers and Veterans. We are honored and proud to serve you!

🇺🇸✈️ HAPPY 79TH BIRTHDAY, UNITED STATES AIR FORCE! ✈️🇺🇸

On September 18, 1947, the United States Air Force became its own branch of the Armed Forces. For 79 years, Airmen have answered the call to defend our nation — in the skies, from the ground, and around the world.

From the first flight to today's advanced airpower, one thing has never changed:

"Integrity. Service. Excellence."

Today, we honor every Airman who has worn the uniform — past and present — and we especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

To our Air Force veterans, active-duty Airmen, Guard, Reserve, retirees, and their families:

"Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your commitment to keeping America free."

🇺🇸 Aim High. Fly-Fight-Win.

"Happy Birthday, U.S. Air Force!" 🎂✈️
