This was our 43rd year taking Fire Prevention Resources to our school students!

Every October, schools across the country pause their routines to focus on something that could one day save a life: fire safety awareness. While fire prevention may not feel like a modern-day concern for many students, the truth is, house fires, electrical hazards, and cooking mishaps remain very real risks in homes and communities.

Integrity Design Services partnered with us and provided the funds to purchase the Fire Prevention Materials. Thank you Brad Campbell!

In addition to this outreach, we also offered free, installed smoke detectors to student families! Our commitment is to both keep our most valuable asset - our children - safe and inspire them to consider protecting their community as a First Responder in the future.

INCOMING! 📬
The annual Fire Dues Letters will be delivered to our mailboxes soon!

Our VOLUNTEER firefighters show up day and night to protect our homes, families, and neighbors. But the truth is something many don’t know: taxes do NOT fully fund our Fire Department. Two-thirds of our budget comes from fundraising! Fire dues are a big part of our fundraising effort, and it is EXTREMELY helpful if you pay them quickly!

Caddo-Midway Volunteer Fire Department is operating with far fewer resources than we need — and we are now at a point where your financial support is critical.

Help us...
🔥 Keep your fire insurance rates low! Far lower than most surrounding communities!
🚒 Maintain lifesaving equipment
🚑 Respond to medical emergencies
⛑️ Provide training for our volunteers
🔥 Keep stations operational and ready

This department belongs to the community — your support keeps it alive.

👉 Please pay your Fire Dues quickly!

Together, we can make sure our firefighters have what they need to keep protecting all of us.
We truly can’t do this without you.

🗓Members Darwin and Laura Clark attended the RC & D grant update meeting at R.A. Hubbard event center. RC & D updated attendees on how to complete grant paperwork and guidance changes in handling their agency's grants.
🪜Ladder drill night. Ladders are a vital part of our emergency response. Members spent a few hours covering ladder safety and operations.
❤️‍🔥Several members attended a burn management class presented by the UAB burn center. The UAB team, including the Medical Director covered burn management techniques and criteria for sending burn patients to their facility in Birmingham.
🏉Members provided EMS coverage for youth football at Veteran's Park.
🫧Members deep cleaned in preparation for the ISO inspections. Stations and Equipment are also inspected during the review.
📝The department's 5-year Insurance Rating Office (ISO) compliance review was held in September. ISO looks at all aspects of the Fire District's fire response capabilities and preparations. They also review all the policies, procedures, and administration practices for the fire department. Members spent countless hours preparing for the review. We will learn how we did in about 5 to 6 months when our updated rating score is published. The score directly impacts homeowners insurance premium cost.
🪧Members installed new updated signs at the station and worked on the window prop at the training annex at Veteran's Park.
