🚒 A Busy Night for the Troutville Volunteers! 🚒
Last night and into the early morning hours, Troutville Volunteer Fire Department responded to two separate structure fires.
🔥 Commercial Structure Fire – Daleville
At 10:18 PM, crews were dispatched to a local bank in Daleville for a reported commercial structure fire with smoke showing. Arriving units found smoke coming from all sides of the roof. Crews quickly located the source of the fire in an electrical room, where it had originated in a breaker panel. Thanks to the quick actions of firefighters, the fire was contained to that room.
Company 2 responded with 13 personnel, staffing Ladder 2, Engine 2, and Utility 2.
🔥 Residential Structure Fire
At 6:11 AM, crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire with reports of heavy smoke inside the home. Thankfully, all occupants were able to safely exit the residence with no injuries reported.
Firefighters located the fire in the basement near the home’s HVAC system and were able to contain it to that area.
Company 2 responded with 10 personnel, staffing Engine 2, Tanker 2, and Utility 2.
Among the photos from these incidents, you’ll see something a little different: a group of our volunteers sitting around the firehouse kitchen table, enjoying a hot cup of coffee and a biscuit after a long night.
That kitchen table is more than just a place to eat. It’s where we gather after calls to talk about what went right, what we can improve, share stories, laugh, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
After a night of answering calls and serving our community, sometimes those quiet moments around the table mean the most.
We’re proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show, sacrificing their nights, sleep, and time with family to answer the call when our community needs
