We hope everyone enjoyed the Safe Trunk or Treat last evening at the LCSO! Coroner Heavin (cow), his wife Sarah (pig)and Deputy Coroner Gibbs (farmer) with Timmy the “goat” 🐑 tied for first place! 🥇

This week has been a great week for our office! First, Deputy Coroner Shanna Doherty was nominated for the Standing Ovation Award at her full time job! Congrats Shanna, you make us proud. Second—Coroner Dan Heavin and Chief Deputy Coroner Steph Wahoski were invited to the Nebraska Coroner’s Conference which was hosted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha to speak and to sit on a Q&A panel. This was a great honor to be invited to another state and be able to represent Lincoln County and the great things our office is doing with Medicolegal Death Investigation. Third—a big thank you to Deputy Coroner Dustin Gibbs who helped keep the county covered while we were out of state.
This week just shows the dedication, caliber, and quality of people that work in this office and provide the level of professionalism to the great citizens of Lincoln County.
