Troy FFA/ Agricultural Program A wide range of experiences can be had through SAE,
helping students explore their areas of interest in agriculture and careers.

FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education. Supervised Agricultural Experience is the part of agriscience education that provides students with the opportunity to gain the experience they need for a successful future career. SAEs allow students to develop specific job skills, earn money, and apply concepts taught in agriscience class.

Last week, Anni and Asaph attended the PA FFA Fall Leadership Conference! Throughout the conference, they learned more about getting started in FFA, explored different leadership practices, and developed skills that will help them grow as leaders within our chapter and beyond.
We are proud of these two for taking advantage of this opportunity to learn, meet other FFA members, and become more involved in the organization!💙💛

🌲🪵 A Day in the Life of a Woodhick! 🪓🌳
Our forestry classes recently traveled to the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum to participate in Woodhick Day!
Students had the opportunity to step back in time and experience what life was like during Pennsylvania’s logging era. Throughout the day, they explored historic logging equipment, watched blacksmithing and sawmill demonstrations, learned about tools used by early lumberjacks, and discovered how the lumber industry helped shape Pennsylvania's history.
Students also learned about tree and wildlife identification, forestry careers, the Civilian Conservation Corps, and what everyday life was like in an old-fashioned logging camp.

It was a great opportunity for students to connect what we have been learning in the classroom to real-world forestry practices and Pennsylvania's rich lumbering history!

Our Ag Room is one HOPPIN’ place to be!😅🐇🐣🐹
Our classroom critters have officially become some of the most popular members of the class!
🐇 Meet our rabbit crew: Daisy, Bolt, Lightning, Bingo & Bluey!
🐹 Our guinea pig Georgie loves too squeek anytime he hears a bag crinkle thinking it's a snack for him
🐭 LeBron our hamster enjoys entertaining by running laps around the room in his ball
🐣🥚 But the fun doesn’t stop there! We’ve got eggs in the incubator, and we’re getting ready to welcome some fluffy little chicks VERY soon!
Between the hopping, squeaking, and soon-to-be peeping, there’s never a dull moment in the ag room!

We need YOUR help picking a winner! 🔵🟡

Our Intro to Ag students were challenged with making their very own edible FFA emblems! The FFA emblem is made up of six important symbols, and students did their best to represent ALL six… while making them delicious enough to eat!

The edible emblem from each class with the MOST “likes” will win a chocolate milk! 🥛🍫
