Our 7th and 8th grade teams fought valiantly at the trivia event about the 12 from ! (There were 13 teams - 8 middle schools from 3 school districts.) While we didn’t win the trophy, I am very proud of them. While this is the last year for the 8th graders, I have high hopes for the 7th grade team! Thanks again to the Lions Club in Moscow Mills for allowing us the use of their facility.

Congratulations to our third Place battle of the books winners The Nerdy Ninjas! We had 17 teams competing from 10 schools and two different school districts answering questions about our 12 from . Both of teams did great! These readers are already preparing for next year.

During week we hid book characters throughout the building and students could visit the library and choose a prize to celebrate. We had several students asking for hints! Thanks to all who participated!

We raffled off a jar of hearts for month and somehow Landry won again this year! How amazing is that?

We are so excited for our new tables and chairs! These fold up, making book fair and other events so much easier. And…they’re PURPLE! We’ve had lots of comments from students already!

My groups was so happy to host CBE 4th graders for another event using concepts with The Almost Terrible Playdate by . This groups created a castle-mansion, a dinosaur ballerina, a ballerina riding a dragon and more! My middle school students are already asking

To celebrate , CBE students joined our members for a makerspace event. We read The Almost Terrible Playdate by and then used the interests of the characters to create new toys! One group made a ballerina bear, another a dinosaur bulldozer and another a soccer field for dinosaurs! The 5th graders really enjoyed it and out EB members were amazing! We’re looking forward to the 4th grade visit on Friday!
