Habitat for Humanity of Miami & Shelby Counties, OH We are a faith-based organization that envisions a place where all have access to homeownership.

WHO WE ARE:
Habitat for Humanity of Miami & Shelby Counties, OH (HFHMSCO) is a faith-based organization that provides moderate to low-income individuals and families the life-changing opportunity to purchase and own simple, quality, affordable homes. WHO WE SERVE:
HFHMSCO defines “need” as someone earning 30-50% of the average median income (AMI). WHAT WE DO:
• HFHMSCO cultivates and educates first-time, moderate to low-income buyers. Volunteers and staff work with potential homeowners to prepare them for long-term, sustainable success as homeowners with roughly six months of education and preparation.
• HFHMSCO partners with hired contractors, volunteers, and the future homeowners to build or rehab the homes.
• HFHMSCO facilitates the ability for families to help themselves by providing no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans.
• HFHMSCO requires families in our program participate in a minimum of 400 hours of “sweat equity”, which includes participating in an extensive set of preparation courses and volunteering on their own home and other Habitat home projects.

Today is the final day of Rock the Block in Sidney!! Thank you to Agrana Fruit US Inc and the Sidney-Shelby County Chamber of Commerce for joining us to wrap up work. This year we've made a ton of friends, including the six-legged kind!

This morning we'd like to thank Elsner Painting & Pressure Washing inc. for helping make Rock the Block in Sidney such a success! 🎨🏡

Their hard work and generosity helped transform one of our neighbors’ homes, and we’re so grateful they chose to show up and give back to our community.

Rock the Block is about more than painting houses, it’s about neighbors helping neighbors, local businesses stepping up, and our community coming together to lift each other up. When we work together, we can make a real difference right here in Sidney. 💙

Thank you, , for being part of the team and helping us make our community a little brighter, one home at a time!
