Dear Families, Our South Gate is open and the road partially plowed as we are preparing for a service at 1 pm on Sunday. Please be aware of that if you plan on coming in for visitations. The service may only be 45 mins to one hour but we will need to have the roadway clear. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

This newspaper is dated May 22 1869, Gold Hill News, Gold Hill, NV. So Many questions about Mr. Atken. Was he buried in our original cemetery, did he go to Rocklin to be near his family? I have found record of his military service but nothing further. This is just one of many records we have retained so these people and their time is Truckee is not lost in the future. Although he died in Gold Hill, he as an early pioneer of Truckee.

We are formally closed for the winter but the gates will stay open unless we receive heavy snow. I want to thank everyone for their love, care and connection to the cemetery. It makes our jobs so much easier. Bless you all and have a safe winter.

Cemetery crews allegedly drove heavy machinery over graves, damaged headstones: ‘Breaks my heart’ Some families are upset that crews at a Pennsylvania cemetery allegedly drove heavy machinery over headstones and graves.

This Site is Block 11-55-5 in the Odd Fellows Section. We posted a thread regarding its repairs. As you can see, it has been repaired and will last for many more years. What wasn't said is who is buried here. This is the burial site of Mrs. Hubbard and an unknown Child (possible last name Workings). Both names are listed in the very first Journal which began in November 1873. The other known burials in this lot go from 1873-1910. What begins now is finding confirmation of who Mrs. Hubbard was and is the child related to her? I will be posting updates for you!
