The Town is in the process of developing the next trash hauler service agreement for trash, recycling, and yard waste collection services. Truckee residents are invited to a community meeting on Monday, June 15 to learn more about the franchise agreement development process, review results from a recent residential survey, and share input on trash, recycling, and yard waste services. Spanish interpretation will be provided.

Truckee Day is this Saturday, June 6, and we can't wait to celebrate the 23rd annual town-wide litter cleanup with you! Let's celebrate our Truckee Town pride and make our streets shine bright! ✨

12 - 2 pm: Celebrate your hard-earned work at the Truckee Day BBQ & town-wide Block Party at the Truckee River Regional Park! Enjoy a free BBQ lunch, raffle, live music, and community expo. Ride your bike to the park: a FREE bike valet will be provided by Truckee Trails Foundation!

June is Bike Month in Truckee! Celebrate on Truckee Day with a bike path cleanup along the Legacy Trail. Volunteers can join at the new check-in station at DEWBEYÚMUWEɁ Park located at 10257 West River Street. Sign up to participate at: KeepTruckeeGreen.org/TruckeeDay
Then, all Truckee Day volunteers are invited to ride their bike to the block party from 12-2 PM at the Truckee River Regional Park. A free bike valet will be provided by Truckee Trails Foundation! 🚴💚

Go Electric Truckee Tahoe is hosting an in-person class with course instructor, Dan Perunko of Balance Point Home Performance, on Tuesday, May 19th at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. This class will support local contractors looking to broaden their expertise in building electrification in cold-climate, snowy mountain towns with heat pump space conditioning and water heaters.

The Town has contracted with True North Research to conduct a survey of randomly selected residents and property owners about residential trash, recycling, and yard waste services in Truckee. True North is currently contacting a random sample of respondents via phone, text, and email to administer this survey. Please note that not all residents or homeowners will be contacted. If you are contacted, please know this is a legitimate survey being conducted by the Town of Truckee. Information received through the survey will inform the Town's development of the next contract for solid waste collection services.

If it's broke, fix it! Fixit Coach volunteers will help you bring your broken household items back to life, and keep them out of the landfill! Bring your broken electronics, furniture, clothing, outdoor gear, and more!
**PLEASE NOTE: Truckee Roundhouse is currently under construction, and the wood shop will be temporarily closed. We will not be able to accommodate wood repair projects this time around. We look forward to welcoming back wood repair projects this fall.
This is a FREE community event run by volunteers. To date, Truckee Fixit Clinics have saved over 2,000 lbs of items from the landfill!
All tools provided, and all ages welcome. Plus, enter the FREE raffle to win a Truckee Roundhouse punch card!

Yard waste season is here. There are many options to dispose of your yard waste debris in Truckee:
- Curbside yard waste cart service will start the week of April 27-May 1. Need a blue or green cart? Free pickup dates available from 8-11 am on May 1, June 12, and July 18. Call TTSD to reserve a cart and get the address for the pickup location.
- Free yard waste drop-off at Eastern Regional Landfill is now available as of April 1. Each household can drop-off up to six cubic yards for free. New this year- visit Waste101.com to access your Digital Punch Card Portal to track your yards used and transfer yards to a landscaper or friend!
- Discounted yard waste dumpster rentals now available as of April 1. Call TTSD to reserve your dumpster, and visit TruckeeFire.org/GreenWaste to get a 75% rebate, available while funds last.
