Cahaba Elementary Goes PINK for a Purpose!

Today, our Cahaba Elementary family proudly wore pink to raise awareness for breast cancer and show our love and support for someone incredibly special to our school—our beloved music teacher, Mrs. Tina Fortenberry!

Mrs. Fortenberry fills our school with so much more than music. She brings joy, kindness, laughter, and love into the lives of her students and colleagues every single day. As she courageously battles breast cancer, we want her to know that she does not fight alone. Her entire Cahaba family is standing beside her, cheering her on, lifting her up, and surrounding her with love!

Today was about more than wearing pink. It was about celebrating strength, spreading hope, raising awareness, and reminding our community of the importance of supporting those affected by breast cancer.

Mrs. Fortenberry, you have touched so many hearts, and today we hope you can feel just how deeply you are loved!

Together, we wear pink. Together, we raise awareness. Together, we stand with Tina!

Rockin’ Around the Clock at Cahaba!
Our Cahaba kindergarteners stepped back in time to the 1950s to celebrate their 50th Day of School with a fabulous 1950s Sock Hop! Dressed in their finest poodle skirts, leather jackets, and vintage outfits, our little rock ’n’ rollers celebrated 50 days of learning with fun math and literacy activities centered around the number 50! From counting to 50 to dancing through the decades, it was a ROCKIN’ good time!

Cahaba’s Paw Patrol team recently visited the Trussville Public Library for a fun and meaningful service project! The team helped prepare race bags for an upcoming race and organized books for the library’s Halloween event. We’re proud of our Paw Patrol team for giving back to the community and helping make these local events a success!
