Heavy Rain & Flooding Advisory

The Tubac Fire District is advising residents to prepare for a significant rain event that is expected to bring heavy rainfall and localized flooding throughout the area. Residents in flood-prone areas are encouraged to take precautions now.

Sand and sandbags are available at the following locations:

* Station 2: 1360 W. Frontage Rd., Rio Rico
* Station 4: 149 Rita Camarón, Rio Rico, AZ

Please use extreme caution when traveling during this weather event. Never drive through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Stay alert for changing conditions and monitor local weather updates.

Tubac Fire C-Shift was recognized today for the excellent care they provided to one of our residents during a life threatening emergency. Due to the crew’s quick recognition, decisive action, and high level of professionalism, the patient survived and was able to continue their recovery.

This recognition is a reflection of the dedication, training, and commitment our personnel bring to every call. We are proud of the work performed by C-Shift and our partners at Air Methods on LifeNet 6, and we are grateful for their continued service to the Tubac Fire District and the community we serve.
