The 50th Annual Tuckahoe Challenge Road Race will be held this Sunday October 4th. With that comes a few street closures we want everyone to be made aware of:
The event starts at 9:00AM however most of Columbus Ave will be shut down of vehicular traffic starting at 8:30AM until the event concludes at approximately 11:00AM.
Please review the map and view which roads will be completely closed during the event, and which roads will see minor delays while the runners make their way around the Village.
We recommend using Marbledale Rd and Main St to get around and avoid Columbus Ave and Fisher Ave between 8:30AM-11:00AM.

A rare September nor’easter will affect our area beginning today and continue throughout the weekend.

While we do not anticipate any significant flash flooding, periods of rain are expected on and off for much of the weekend. Windy conditions are also expected, with gusts that could bring down tree branches and potentially trees.

Please use caution, stay aware of changing conditions, and stay safe throughout the weekend.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL DOG OWNERS

Due to recent incidents within the Village, The Tuckahoe Police Department is strictly enforcing all Village ordinances regarding dogs. No verbal warnings will be issued. Anyone found in violation of a Village ordinance will be issued a summons and required to appear in Tuckahoe Village Court.

We are reminding all dog owners:

All dogs must be leashed at all times when off the owner’s property.
All dogs must be licensed by the Town of Eastchester.
All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination, and owners must be able to provide proof.
Dogs are not permitted in any Village park at any time.
All dogs must be properly secured on their owner’s property. If your dog has a habit of running out an open door, please take the necessary precautions to prevent it from getting loose.

Over the past 10 days, five summonses have already been issued, with additional summonses pending.

The safety of our residents, especially our children, is our priority. We are asking every dog owner to take these regulations seriously and make sure their dog is properly controlled and secured.

Please be a responsible dog owner and help keep Tuckahoe safe.
