Kids are back in school, but some still need a desk at home. Do you know someone who needs support creating a learning space for a student at home? Whether it's a standard desk or a lap desk (or headphones or a book case, etc.) we can help! Send us an email to request support.

Another delivery happened this week to families in Tubac and Sahuarita thanks to the help of Roni from the Sahuarita Food Bank. Roni has helped identify families in the area with a need for desks and other home office items and has organized delivery of goods to their homes. Thank you, Roni and the Sahuarita Food Bank for your continued support!

is here and we are sooooo for the support and dedication of volunteers like Loraine, pictured below. Her shirt matched the volunteer gift cookie and card we provided so we had to take a photo. Imago Dei Middle School, Tucson provides amazing support to their students and families. We were so happy to support them by providing their alumni with the materials needed to create their own learning space at home.
Recently, we packed their van full of donations of desks handmade from the Woodworkers of Green Valley, chairs donated from Tucson Electric Power, and new items purchased with financial donations made by members of The Village Community and supporters like you!
Thank you to Better Together: Connect Our Students Project for connecting us with the Woodworkers at Green Valley.

We are thrilled to be one of the recent recipients of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona's COVID-19 Community Response Grants. The funds will help us support an additional 50 children in the coming weeks to help them create their own learning space at home.
In partnership with our generous donors and supporters, the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona is pleased to announce that an additional $45,000 was granted to four organizations in February from our COVID-19 Community Response Fund.
These funds will be used to provide essential services such as providing low-income families with at-home learning spaces, meals for seniors in Santa Cruz County, resources and support for people facing eviction, and health care to underserved communities.

We are honored to have had the opportunity to serve 100 children by providing home office items that make learning at home more accessible. Thank you to those of you who have supported this effort - financially, physically, and enthusiastically telling a friend - it has all been so appreciated and useful.
Thank you especially to The Village Community for the ongoing support and Mission Church Tucson for helping with this last round of requests.
Yes, there is still a need, so we will continue to help kids get their own learning space wherever home may be.
