I had the great privilege of talking at the last Instructional Leadership Academy gathering of the school year this morning. I was able to personally thank our wonderful school principals for their hard work this year!

Thank you Family and Community Engagement Department for inviting me to be a part of your annual INSPIRE Luncheon, where we have the great opportunity to thank partners who have made such big impacts on Tucson Unified families!

Had a great time this week visiting Booth Fickett K-8 Math/Science School this week! Administrators, joined by a couple of student ambassadors, showed me around the campus and took me into various classes and I got to speak with different staff members.

Thank you Innovation Tech High School and CE Rose PreK-8 for your hospitality during my school visits this past week! It was great to be able to tour your schools and see how your staff is helping our students in and out of the classroom.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our EV Bus initiative come true! I’m proud to have the first fleet out in our community.

On Thursday, I had the pleasure of visiting Tully Elementary Magnet School! From their incredible garden and preschool program to the school’s tortoise and so much more, it was wonderful to see students learning and staff in action. 🍎

Today I had the honor of serving as a judge at the 2nd Annual Great Manzo Elementary School Cooking Show! Our young chefs truly shined as they recreated beloved family recipes and incorporated ingredients harvested straight from Manzo’s garden — and even eggs hatched by their own chickens. Their creativity, skill, and passion made this an unforgettable event! 🍴🌿 🍎

Last week, I visited Lawrence 3-8 School. It was a pleasure meeting with the principal, hearing Student Council’s impressive presentation about Lawrence, touring the campus, and even stopping by to see the bike club in action. Thank you to the Lawrence community for the warm welcome and inspiring work. 🍎

This week I had the pleasure of visiting Johnson Primary. It was wonderful to step into classrooms, see learning in action, and meet with our dedicated staff. Grateful for the work they do every day! 🍎
