Bad Driving and Human Smuggling Don’t Pay!

As a black Ford Escape pulled in front of a marked Border Patrol unit, Douglas Station agents watched as three individuals emerged from the brush and loaded into the vehicle. Acting fast, the agents initiated a stop which resulted in one individual fleeing back into the desert.

Two of the subjects in the vehicle were identified as Mexican nationals illegally present in the country. The driver, a Cuban citizen, was immediately arrested for human smuggling under 8 USC 1324.

Additional agents tracked and apprehended the fleeing subject, also identified as a Mexican national illegal present in the country.

All four were transported for processing. It is not worth the risk; we have ZERO TOLERANCE for smuggling.

Operational vigilance paid off near Bisbee Junction

Agents spotted a silver Toyota Corolla suspected of prior involvement in smuggling activity. A records check was conducted and came back registered to a rental company out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Agents conducted a vehicle stop that led to the arrest of the driver and two illegal aliens. A search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded 9mm Ta**us PT111 Pro pistol and an additional magazine, both seized according to Tucson Sector Asset Forfeiture guidelines.

The vehicle was stored, and the driver now faces prosecution under 8 U.S.C. 1324 a federal charge for alien smuggling that carry severe penalties, including substantial fines and lengthy prison sentences.

You have been warned, those who attempt to smuggle or break the law will be caught and face the full weight of justice.
