Our Wilson Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Pakkala is part of the ‘DIG’ program developed in partnership with the University of Arizona. 🍃
‘Develop Integrated Gardens’ (DIG) is a program to develop meaningful gardens on school campuses that are sustained over time.
Our Wilson PTO has generously donated funds to help begin the process along with support from Wilson Principal Mr. Trimble.
Teacher Mrs. Pakkala took the 6 class program to allow our Wilson campus to become DIG certified, received a $50 initial investment from the program, and we can’t wait to see how our campus garden grows!

Over time she hopes to create a water feature to show ways to conserve water and add a compost component. Stay tuned for ways to participate and stay involved in August and the coming school year! We would love for our Wilson community to be a part of the campus garden! 🪴 🪏 💦

And thank you Wilson families for donations to the Wilson K-8 PTO, which in turn directly supports campus initiatives such as these!

Go Wranglers!

On this Memorial Day, we honor and reflect upon the ultimate sacrifices made by the men and women in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Our Wilson 8th graders had the distinct honor to travel to Washington DC in March 2026 of their 8th grade year. Among many other sites, they also visited Arlington National Cemetery and laid a wreath from our campus at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Four of our 8th graders participated in the beautiful and meaningful wreath laying ceremony.

We wish all of our Wilson community families a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️🤍💙

🎉🎓 The middle school era is ending, but the new adventures begin now! Congratulations to Wilson’s 8th Grade Class of 2026!

Our 8th grade Class of 2026 held their promotion ceremony under perfect weather on the last day of school May 20, 2026! Hundreds of families and loved ones came out to the football field ceremony to cheer on our eldest Wranglers. Twelve speakers were chosen to read from reflection essays on their middle school memories and growth, Principal Chris Trimble also spoke along with IRHS Principal Dr. Orante Jenkins.

Our Wilson choir performed ‘Unwritten’ and our Wilson Jazz Band also performed ‘Don’t Stop Believing’! 🎶 🎉

Thank you Wilson K-8 PTO for fantastic outdoor stage decor to celebrate this milestone.

We are incredibly proud of Wilson’s 8th grade class demonstrating such hard work, growth, and perseverance. Next stop: High School! 📚✨

Our Wilson 5th graders enjoyed a fantastic crossover event on the last day of school, May 20, 2026! 🎉 🎈 🙌
Peace out ☮️ 5th grade, Hello Middle School!

Huge thank you to 5th grade teachers Mrs. Tilicki, Ms. Foster and Ms. Reddoch for leading our amazing 5th grade Wranglers.

Our Wilson tradition carried on of a parent arch lining the middle of the school as the 5th grade class of 2026 promotes from the elementary side of campus over to the middle school hallways!
The same ‘pool noodle’ arch has been used for many years and carries all the hopes and excitement of the previous years’ families!

Our 6th and 7th graders greeted them with cheers and high fives into the 6th grade hallway!

Thank you to the hardworking volunteers of Wilson K-8 PTO for your dedication in preparing behind the scenes of the event!

Go Wranglers!

Multiple classes in our Wilson elementary have ‘buddy classes’ with a pairing between a lower elementary class with an upper elementary class to promote campus community and friendships between all ages of Wranglers!

Recently several buddy classes have had events to celebrate their end-of-year buddy class and enjoy their memories together!

Preschool had an end of year water day that their buddy class 5th grade Mrs. Foster participated in! 2nd grade Mrs. Richardson enjoyed their end of year buddy time with 5th grade Mrs. Reddoch class!

Way to go Wranglers!
