We had the opportunity to collaborate with FAP and the DM Youth Center for Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, and it was truly an impactful experience. 💜
Bringing our community together to support, educate, and empower teens is so important, and this event was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work as a team. Grateful for everyone who showed up, shared resources, and helped create a safe space for meaningful conversations.
Proud to be part of something that makes a real difference. 💜✨

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. – February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, a national effort to educate communities on the warning signs of abuse. Statistics show one in three U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse from a partner before adulthood, which can lead to long-term negative consequences.
To stand in solidarity at Davis-Monthan, the Integrated Resiliency Office has organized events throughout the month, starting with a call to “Wear Orange,” the color of the month. Representatives including First Sergeants, Domestic Violence Advocates, members of Family Advocacy, and members of the Child and Youth Programs, along with the 355th Wing Command Team, gathered for the photo on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to show their support.
“Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month is a vital national effort to break the cycle of violence by educating young people, parents, and communities about the prevalence and warning signs of abuse in relationships,” said Phelipe Salinas, Integrated Prevention Chief for the IRO.
The IRO is continuing the conversation throughout the month, including through the upcoming “Dating Things: Uncovering the Upside Down of Dating.” This event will explore red flags and green flags in relationships. The free event is for ages 13+ and is from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 20 at the Davis-Monthan AFB Community Center, and it includes food, drinks and prizes. The first 20 teens to arrive will receive a gift card.
Raising awareness is a life-saving endeavor that supports the well-being of youth and promotes a future free from dating violence

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting a special yoga class led by Dr. Torres, exclusively for our installation’s Key Support Liaisons.
Through intentional breathing, gentle movement, and guided mindfulness, our installation liaisons explored strategies to strengthen resilience and maintain balance in both their personal and professional lives. 🧘♀️💫
A big thank you to Dr. Torres for leading such an impactful session and to all participants for prioritizing their own well-being!
