The manager of the Kirk-Bear Canyon Library is Linde Furman. The Kirk-Bear Canyon Branch Library opened in 1991 in what was then described as the "far northeast side" in the Bear Canyon Shopping Center at 8959 E. It was the 16th library added to the system and one of two branches located in shopping centers, for customers' convenience. Come learn some informal sign language – things like everyday signs, greetings, and need-to-know phrases for communication.

Come and have fun while you learn through vocabulary lists and practice, finger spelling, games, and more.

No registration but the maximum number of participants is 25.

All ages are welcome, but this free library program is best suited for adults, and for ages 8 and above.

Elizabeth Langley is an oil painter who uses single-point perspective, bold colors, geometric shapes and photorealistic styles. Interiors is a series featuring internal spaces – both the physical rooms portrayed, but also the psychological realm of the viewer. Inspired by luminescent light and sharp shadows, this work reimagines local haunts with art deco lines and colors. Each piece captures a moment in time, drawing viewers in with nostalgic shapes and textures, giving them permission to pause in the stillness, to remember, or to reflect.
