Uncovering the History of Marana Schools

In this year’s issue of the Horizon, the District's print magazine, we dug into the history of Marana Schools over the past 115 years. From scattered board-and-canvas classrooms serving railroad and farming communities, to the Marana High School we know it today opening in 1975 way off Emigh Road, to junior high students being the first class of students to enroll at Mountain View in the late 80s, our history highlights the good that can happen when communities support their local public K-12 schools. Take a minute to learn all about the history of and the community we call home!

2026 Grad Walk

Photos from Quail Run Elementary School's post 05/15/2026

Today was a full-circle moment as some of the graduating seniors from Mountain View High School returned to Quail Run Elementary School β€” the very place where many of their educational journeys first began as Quails. πŸ’™πŸŽ“

Watching our former Quail students walk through campus in their caps and gowns was a powerful reminder that our vision statement, β€œLearners today, leaders tomorrow,” truly comes to life through the accomplishments of our students.

Our younger Quails cheered them on with excitement and admiration, inspired by the leaders who once walked the same hallways, sat in the same classrooms, and dreamed big right here at Quail Run.

Congratulations, Class of 2026!

β€œIt takes a Covey to raise a Quail.” ✨
