, Supporting Our Newest Teachers!🍎📚

to SSC Services for Education for its continued partnership and generosity through its Clear the List program!

For the past two years, SSC has invested more than $2,600 in classroom supplies to help MUSD’s first-year teachers “clear their list” with supplies for their classroom. This year, three of our first-year teachers received supplies tailored to their classroom needs:

🍎 Gemma DiSimone: 6th grade Teacher, DeGrazia Elementary School
🍎 Elianna Newborn: Music Teacher, Rattlesnake Ridge Elementary School
🍎 Randi Harmon: Adaptive Special Education Teacher, Tangerine Farms K-8

We’re grateful for partners who help make a difference in our classrooms and our !

☀️🧀 Our third graders participated in DeGrazia’s annual Solar Oven Project!

Students used the power of the sun to observe cheese melting on tortilla chips while learning how solar energy can be captured and converted into heat. Science is even more exciting when the experiment ends with a tasty snack! ❤️🖤🌪️

🎤🎶🌟❤️🖤🌪️ Once a Dust Devil, Always a Dust Devil! 🌪️🖤❤️🌟🎶

Today was a special day at DeGrazia Elementary as we welcomed home Kayleigh Mathews, a contestant on NBC’s The Voice and a former DeGrazia Dust Devil!

Kayleigh attended DeGrazia from 2000–2007, and today she returned to the place where her musical journey first began!

Walking back into our music room and stepping onto the very stage where her love for music first took root, Kayleigh had the opportunity to reconnect with her past and capture some truly authentic and meaningful moments.

At DeGrazia, we believe in the power of the arts to inspire creativity, build confidence, and help students discover their passions. Kayleigh’s journey is a beautiful reminder that the experiences we provide our students today can help shape the dreams they pursue tomorrow.

From a young Dust Devil discovering her voice to sharing her incredible talent on a national stage, Kayleigh is proof that BIG dreams can begin in elementary school!

We are so proud to be a small part of her story and cannot wait to see where her journey takes her next!

🌟🎤🎶 Keep shining, Kayleigh! Your Dust Devil family is cheering you on! ❤️🖤🌪️
