Small Changes, BIG WINS: Easy Ways to Cut Carbon, Waste, and Water Use at Home

Looking to learn about issues around sustainability in your home? We can provide you with simple strategies you can implement to reduce your carbon footprint and conserve water.

🌍 Water in the Desert
This presentation will take place Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 3pm to 4 pm at Richard Elías-Mission Library.
Learn about the history of water in the Sonoran Desert, the current threats and opportunities related to water supplies, and how you can reduce your use at home.
This presentation will get you started on the path to being “hydro local” (living with our available water here in Tucson without relying on external water sources).

🌱 Waste Not, Want Not—Reducing Food Waste in Your Home
These presentations will take place Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 2pm to 3 pm at Murphy-Wilmot Library and Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Caviglia-Arivaca Library.
