Myers-Ganoung Culture Night was a BIG success. Bound by Books, United by Culture was our theme. There was music and dancing from our diverse cultures. So many delicious foods to eat from our families. There was much representation from our TUSD departments, and community member organizations. Take a look.

Myers-Ganoung honors our beloved Librarian Mrs. Kumiko Adamson for National Librarian's Day. We love Mrs. Kumi, she does so many things for our students and school.

We are having a combination of our Literacy and Culture Night together on Thursday, April 10th @ 5-6:30pm. We hope that you'll join us. Come see how Literacy plays a part in our daily lives. Come taste the delicious foods from different cultures. We will have several TUSD departments and community organizations present. We will have music and dancing from different cultures too! Join us!

We've been having the most wonderful guests come to Myers-Ganoung for our Literacy Week! Day 1, Ms. Clarissa from Borderlands Theater. Day 2, we had 4 Firefighters from Engine 11, and Princess Fiona, and Cat in the Hat from Gaslight Theater!Day 3, we had Elvis (aka TUSD Board member) Mr. Val Romero, and Pirate Captain Salt Beard, from Borderlands Theater!
We're not done yet, one more day of guest readers, and the climax will be our Love of Language and Literacy Night, Thursday @ 5-6:30pm. Join us!

In March we will celebrate Love of Reading Week! On March 6th we will have our Literacy Night from 5-6:30pm.
During the week of March 3rd-6th we will have guests come and read to our students, K-5th grades.
We welcome our parents and any Myers-Ganoung Alumni to come and read to our students. Or if you know any celebrities who'd like to read to our students, let us know. Parents, Family, read to your children. Tell them stories about your family and your heritage!
