The Camp Fury experience gave teen girls a hands-on introduction to fire safety, search and rescue, crime scene investigation, law enforcement, and more—all led by the incredible women in the mostly male-dominated first responder careers. We are Fury! ❤️💙💚

🌟 Girl Scout Leadership in Action 🌟

Troop 386 of Safford is proud to announce that Ambassadors Evelyn B. and Lilley B. have been selected to represent Thatcher and Safford, respectively, at the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls State program this week.

Their selection is a tremendous honor and a reflection of years of dedication, leadership, scholarship, character, and service. Acceptance into this highly competitive program requires an application, essay, and in-person interview process.

In addition to their Girl Scout accomplishments, Evelyn is a member of FCCLA and has competed at the national level. She is also active in FBLA, the Thatcher National Honor Society, and is a state qualifier in Javelin for THS Track and Field.

Lilley is involved in the 4-H Steer, Culinary, and Life Skills Programs, serves as Vice President of Safford High School Turning Point, and is a member of the SHS National Honor Society.

Both young women are dual enrolled in Eastern Arizona College's GIFT Program for Healthcare Professions and recently completed Nursing Skills examinations for LNA certification.

We are incredibly proud of these outstanding young women. Their achievements are a testament to the leadership, confidence, volunteerism, and perseverance they have developed through years of Girl Scouting and community involvement.

Congratulations, Evelyn and Lilley! We can't wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish next. 💚✨
