Upcoming temporary closure of Eckstrom-Columbus Library

We will be making updates to our back room and service desk area and will be temporarily closed beginning Sunday, May 24.

We anticipate reopening on Monday, June 29. This is subject to change and we will communicate that information if needed.

If you have holds available at Eckstrom-Columbus Library, please pick them up by Saturday, May 23. If you are unable to pick them up, we will hold them until we reopen.

If you are placing a hold or holds, we recommend changing your holds location so we can re-route them to another library. If needed, check out this FAQ about how to do so.

Please note, the book chute will be unavailable throughout the closure. You may return your materials to other locations.

During the closure, we suggest visiting nearby locations:
⚫ Martha Cooper Library, 1377 N. Catalina Ave.
⚫ Quincie Douglas Library, 1585 E. 36th St.
⚫ Murphy-Wilmot Library, 530 N. Wilmot Rd.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at United Way of Tucson are having their annual FREE Tax Filing Finale event on Wednesday, April 15th from 8AM-8PM for qualifying taxpayers who still need assistance filing their tax return by the IRS deadline!
