What does it take to run a food truck? Ask a Canyon View third grader. 🍧
Kona Ice franchisee Karrie Reaney spent an hour with our third graders last week, covering everything from health licensing to what to do when a jug of flavoring springs a leak mid-drive. It was the real-world capstone to their annual food truck project — the one that blends math, research, design, and entrepreneurship into something they'll actually remember.
The kicker: the students designed 75 original flavor combinations for the Kona Ice Flavor Wave, with names like Rainbow Splash, Zombie Colada, and Forest Black (aka "Cactus Juice" 🌵). Families got to taste them at Friday night's spring carnival.
Did your family try a student recipe? Which one wins? 👇
