New regional changes coming soon. We had dropped NM from our region but have now reinstated it, LCDR Turner will be promoted to Senior Regional Director in charge of both Arizona and New Mexico. Arizona will be split into two different regions, with each having its own regional director and New Mexico already has a new Regional Director. LCDR Stahlman has been asked to assume the RD position for the new Southern area and they are looking for an individual for the Northern area as their Rd. By doing this, it will be easier for the Rd's to handle the new areas added to the region. We are looking forward to the new changes being made.

Last winter I was able to purchase a 26 ft Clipper Marine sailboat, I am now close to having it ready this summer so that our regional cadets can get some seamanship training. If you are not in our program and would like to get in on the action please contact us.

With the virus shut down it has been a year that we have not seen in many years. I am now working on our seamanship program for this coming summer providing that we are able to put it on, I was able to purchase a 25.8 ft sailboat that needed some TLC which I have been working since this past fall, it should be finished by this March, looking forward to the summer so we can use it for training.

Field Medical Day!

Cadets triaging victims:
Laceration
Burn
Heat Exhaustion and Venomous Snake Bite
Non Responsive/ No Pulse

Had to clear parameter and asses the scene of each incident. Then they were assessed as a team on how well they responded and used the knowledge that they just learned earlier that day.

They also were all CPR Certified!
