Emergency voting sites opening ahead of election The Pima County Recorder's office says emergency voting sites will be open on Saturday and Monday before the general election.

Vote-by-mail ballots must be in the mail no later than Wednesday to ensure that they will received by the Pima County Recorder’s Office in time for next week’s general election!
Pima County voters: Still have an early ballot? Get it in the mail by Wednesday About 45 percent of the early ballots sent out in Pima County have already been returned.

Why is it NOT a good idea to drop off your mail ballots at your polling place on Election Day?
ANSWER: Because it is then considered a "Provisional Ballot" and is processed last, after the election. They are all counted, but it may not "count" because it is after election night – as, all signatures on the envelopes have to be confirmed to be legitimate. Early Ballots are tallied first, Poll Ballots second and Provisional Ballots LAST.
That’s why it’s so important to mail in your early ballots – to be sure they are counted as intended and accordingly.
