KGUN features Marana Cares Mobile, serving hot lunches in two locations!
This summer, Marana Cares Mobile is serving hot and nutritious lunches to all children under the age of 18 at two locations in the community. A special to Amber from MUSD Food Services for speaking with KGUN9, and ensuring meals are great and ready-to-go. Yesterday, kids had orange chicken on white rice, pineapple, veggies with ranch, and milk. The air conditioned bus runs year-round during breaks and when school is not in session to ensure kids have access to healthy meals.

Uncovering the History of Marana Schools
In this yearโs issue of the Horizon, the District's print magazine, we dug into the history of Marana Schools over the past 115 years. From scattered board-and-canvas classrooms serving railroad and farming communities, to the Marana High School we know it today opening in 1975 way off Emigh Road, to junior high students being the first class of students to enroll at Mountain View in the late 80s, our history highlights the good that can happen when communities support their local public K-12 schools. Take a minute to learn all about the history of and the community we call home!

๐๐ A Special Look Back at This Yearโs Senior Walk ๐๐
One of the sweetest moments of the school year was welcoming back our graduating Marana High School seniors for their walk through the halls of Picture Rocks Elementary.
As they walked past cheering students and familiar classrooms, it was impossible not to think about how far theyโve come. Many of these graduates once started here as tiny kindergartenersโlearning their letters, making new friends, and taking their very first steps as students.
Now, they leave as graduates, ready to take on the world.
Moments like these remind us just how important elementary school years really are. We are so honored to have been part of their story and proud of the incredible young adults theyโve become.
To our graduates: thank you for letting PRE be part of your journey. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk. ๐ฆ
